No religion
Dear Begoon,I think it is needed to open a new short section NO RELIGION to put the recent information about Gallup poll with 12% of Bolivians thinking religion is not important in their lives. There are also other surveys that point out a growing people with no religion in Bolivia, like America´s Barometer with 3.3 % and another published last April in the newspaper La Prensa with 5%. Luis

- Well, at the moment there is only one sentence - nowhere near enough for a section. If you can provide some more, relevant content, with proper references, I'd be quite happy to help you copy edit it, if you're not comfortable adding it yourself. Begoon•talk 00:08, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
See http://sitemason.vanderbilt.edu/files/bVWgP6/I0829Midiendo%20religin%20en%20encuestas%20de%20Latinoamrica.pdf (page 11) for 3.3% of no religion, this survey can also be mentioned as a FULL statistics of religion for Bolivia at the beginning of this wiki page.
The other survey from 2010 can be found at: http://www.laprensa.com.bo/noticias/02-04-10/noticias.php?nota=02_04_10_socd2.php this was done by La Prensa newspaper and mentions 5% of no religion. But it was done only in cities of EL Alto, La Paz, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz.
Both show a recovery of Catholicism against decline in Evangelism. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.87.154.109 (talk) 20:15, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
- Ok - if you can post exactly what you'd like the section to say in order to be long enough, we can take a look. Thanks. Begoon•talk 00:20, 26 September 2010 (UTC)
Dear Begoon, I already edited it in the new section "No Religion". Feel free to suggest any modification. On the other hand, I leave to you the criteria for putting A FULL TRANSLATED TABLE, maybe at the beginning of the page with the Americas Barometer 2008 Survey for Bolivia (See page 11 of the pdf). I think this survey is the most serious poll done in recent years in Bolivia, they interviewed 3,003 persons and has an error of only +/- 1,8%. It changes some tendencies that appeared at the 2001 survey of the governmental National Statistics Institute, like the fact that all the Christian groups in Bolivia, except Catholics, are 4,9% less in 2008 than in 2001. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.87.99.194 (talk) 20:20, 26 September 2010 (UTC)
- The new section seems fine, thanks for doing that. I just did a very minor, mostly grammatical, copy edit. With regards to the data from the 2008 survey - yes, that seems exactly what we need, thank you again. If you want to go ahead and add it to the lead section as a table, great. If you're not comfortable fiddling around with tables, just pop the translation here, and I'll do it. I would do it myself, but I'm likely to make translation errors. Thank you very much indeed - the base data we had before was unsourced, and continually edit warred over - it will be great to include something sourced. Begoon•talk 00:39, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
The table can be as follows:
Americas Barometer Survey 2008 ( Bolivia ) 3,003 interviews, Error +/- 1,8% http://sitemason.vanderbilt.edu/files/bVWgP6/I0829Midiendo%20religin%20en%20encuestas%20de%20Latinoamrica.pdf (page 11):

- Done - thank you. Begoon•talk 21:51, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
Dear Begoon, Someone vandalized the data in the table of religions. Please keep watching —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.129.20.159 (talk) 20:54, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
Dear Begoom, I corrected the data on the table of religions to the original Catholics 81.8% and Evangelic 10.3%. It seems that there is an "evangelic" friend that is trying to change the data.

Dear friends,
Once again, please do something on the case of a person(s)who are triying to distort systematically the data on the religion table, this is clearly a planified VANDALISM. There should be a way to protect the data. Carlos
